The Margaree Lodge Resort consists of a total of eleven buildings and one outdoor swimming pool. There are 32 rooms and 2 suites with 58 beds in total.

- #1: Rooms 20-25

Situated downhill from the restaurant, this building has a floor space of 2484 square feet, 23' x 108'. It was completely renovated in 2001 and has six spacious rooms (2 with 1 king and 4 with 2 double beds) and one storage room. The rooms have satellite TV, telephone, radio, coffee machine, hair dryer, comfort mattresses and private bath. They also have heating and air conditioning provided by a Carrier unit. Room 25 has a kitchen/dining room that is fully equipped. The building has concrete frost walls and foundations and a crawl space basement. Windows are vinyl thermo-pane. Exterior sheathing is vinyl siding. All of the rooms have juniper wood flooring; all bath rooms have ceramic tiles.

- #2: ANTIQUE OLD HOUSE

This very unique old farmhouse was actually the beginning of the Margaree Lodge. Guests were residing at this location over 100 years ago. The house has a lot of history. One of the owners was a Senator. The story of the Margaree Lodge can be found in the book "No Place Like Home", the Life and Times of Cape Breton Heritage Houses by Mary K.MacLeod & James O. St. Clair.
Today the 150-year-old house is used as an Antique store. The restoration process began in 1997 and was completed in 2001. The original charm and character were preserved, including features such as beautiful trimming, inside and outside, outstanding interior wood work, original wooden floor throughout, original wide pine wall boards and hand made beams and nails. The house has 5 rooms and 3 bath rooms and could easily be finished as living quarters, a rental unit or a Golf Club house.
The house is an antique itself. The owners received an award for their restoration of this heritage building from the Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia in 2005.

- #3: THE SUITES

This building has a floor space of 3120 square feet. It consist of two large suites, two hotel rooms, a conference room and a guest laundry with coin operated washer and dryer. In 2002 the building was renovated. The electric and sanitary systems were renewed and new European vinyl thermo-pane. windows were installed. The entire building has a beautiful antique wood floor (soft wood and maple) which has been renewed.
Suites: Both suites consist of two bedrooms (1 king, 1 double and 1 single bed), living and dining room plus a kitchen and bathroom. The larger suite has an additional bathroom with whirlpool, an open fireplace in the combined living/dining room and a large deck with a view of the Margaree. Both suites are equipped with a comfortable queen sofa couch, satellite TV, video, telephone, radio, hair dryer and kitchen accessories. The structure sits on concrete posts and wood cribbing with a crawl space basement. The exterior sheathing is aluminum siding.

- #4 & #5: THE LOUNGE AND RESTAURANT

This building is the center point of the resort. It covers a floor space of approximately 6965 square feet and has been completely renovated in recent years. A modern alarm system, video security and fire alarm in all rooms ensure security. The building has a partial basement and one room in the attic. The structure sits on concrete posts. Exterior sheathing is aluminum siding. Windows are vinyl thermo-pane. and large plate glass picture windows.
Restaurant: The restaurant can seat up to 112 guests and offers air-conditioning, maple hard wood floor, panoramic windows and a large wooden deck (juniper) with seating for 28 people, and 2 washrooms (men and women) with two stalls each. The business has a Liquor license (also for the deck). An additional Bar was added 2004 into the Restaurant.
Kitchen: The kitchen is completely equipped (including silver ware and dishes) and meets all industry standards.
Office/ Reception: There is one spacious reception area including a retail area for fishing tackle and a Manager's office. They are equipped with modern desks, chairs, two computers, modern computerized telephone system with front desk control for the whole property, video monitoring for 2 cameras and a professional cash register. Bar/ Lounge: It provides a large bar with comfortable seating for 100 people, licensed for 160 people, large dance floor and stage for bands and a walk in cooler. The floor is covered with antique wooden floor or carpet. It is air conditioned and equipped with a professional coin pool table, dart board, foosball table, a modern sound system (receiver, 2 cd players, dvd player, satellite system) special effect lighting system, 2 Tv's, a computer system and a 10 foot projection cinema system. Lounge license (2am), Gambling license.

- #6: THE LAUNDRY
This building has a floor space of 860 square feet, and accommodates a laundry and a workshop. The Laundry is equipped with an industrial and a household washing machine, two large industrial dryers (propane), and a manual sheet folder. The workshop with a separate entrance is equipped with a planing machine, circular saw, compressor, etc. The foundation is stone and the exterior sheathing is wood shingles. The flooring is softwood and the windows are wood single pane.

- #7: THE FITNESS BUILDING
The fitness center, with a floor space of 880 square feet, is equipped with table tennis, weight bench, Gym-machine plus a running and stepping machine. This building also has a workshop with a separate entrance. Particulars: concrete frost walls and foundations; exterior sheathing is vinyl siding; flooring is softwood; windows are wood single pane.

- #8: ROOMS 60 - 71
This building is connected directly to the owners' residence. It has a floor space of 3444 square feet (320 m2). It has twelve rooms (all with 2 double beds) with the same structure and equipment as the rooms 40-51 - please see description below. Six of the rooms have air conditioning.

- #9: OWNER'S RESIDENCE
This two-storey house is completely modernized with interesting architecture, including cathedral ceilings on the second floor. It has a living area of around 1539 square feet, two bedrooms, two dressing rooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, guest washroom and a full basement.
There is a wood stove in the living room and the floor plan of the ground floor is mostly an open one.
Details: New thermo-pane windows, tile flooring in bathrooms and entrance, otherwise wooden flooring, central vacuum system, wood stove in living room, satellite system, washing machine, dryer, kitchen with electric appliances. Exterior sheathing is aluminum and vinyl siding.

- #10: ROOMS 40 - 51

This building is to the left of the owner's residence and covers approximately 3483 square feet with dimensions of 21'-6" x 162'. It has twelve rooms (6 with 1 queen and 6 with 2 double beds) and one storage room. The rooms are equipped with: Satellite TV. telephone, radio, coffee-maker, air conditioning (six rooms) and private bath.

- #11: THE POOL
The pool is approximately 13.12 feet X 33 feet (4 x 10m) in size and between 2' 6" X 6' 6" (0.8 and 2m) in depth from the shallow to the deep end. It is surrounded by a new juniper fence and wooden garden furniture. All necessary cleaning equipment is on hand and the filter system has a new jet pump.

- #12: THE PADDOCK
 The paddock currently holds three horses, but there is room for many more. In 1998 the stable was built with a floor space of approx. 580 square feet. There is a riding arena, round pen, paddock and fenced pasture. The neighbouring barn is used for the storage of hay and tack. It has running water and electricity.
