Overview:

Located on Shore Road in Dunvegan just North of Inverness, this seasonal home is suitable for year round living. It is a nice size with an interesting floor plan that has various split levels. There is a bright, spacious kitchen with a sliding glass door that leads to a large upper deck from which the ocean is visible over the tree line behind the house. The 3 acres surrounding the house feature cleared land and lawn, patches of woods that include apple trees plus several outbuildings which need some repairs. The house has good bones and has been well maintained during the off season. It needs a little work - the 1970's decor, the partially unfinished basement and the possibility of replacing the older wood stove - these needs are acknowledged with the attractive pricing of this well-located property.

Comments:

This summer has been the wettest in anyone's memory in Cape Breton. The constant rain made it difficult to get enough light to take photographs of the exterior of the home and the grounds around it. Four trips to the property afforded but one opportunity to take photos - it was only drizzling as opposed to a downpour. The unusual amount of precipitation has also created problems with mowing of lawns, weed trimming, etc. Some of the photos make the property look neglected due to its overgrown aspect - this is not the case, the weather prevented regular care of the grounds. We apologize for the less than nice exterior photos - hopefully we will get a chance to improve them.
