Permission was graciously granted by the Margaree Salmon Association (Organization President John Hart) to use the Margaree Fishing Pools map at left. We purchased the hard copy of the map at the The Margaree Salmon Museum, just a short way down the river from this property. Also available via their web site is a DVD with 96 photos of the Margaree River.

Activities:

You can observe bald eagles, hummingbirds and beavers on any where along the river or along the coast. Enjoy the peace of the river and the strong mountains during a walk after a delicious meal. There are many opportunities for boating, hiking, sea-kayaking, horseback riding, whale watching, fishing, swimming and golf.

Cape Breton has many sandy beaches good for swimming or use the in ground pool on the property to cool off after other activities. Golf destinations in Cape Breton include four championship courses plus the new CABOT LINKS course in nearby Inverness will be a great addition to the list. Fishing the Margaree for Atlantic Salmon, Brook Trout and Rainbow Trout either on your own or with a guide is a popular reason for visiting and staying in the area. The Margaree is one of the most beautiful North American rivers, one of the many reasons it was appointed a Heritage River. Since the last century fly fishers have come from all over the world to this area to catch salmon.
