| Comment: |
The Margaree Lodge Resort rests on a hill with a beautiful view overlooking one of the most famous salmon rivers in North America - the Margaree River. This summer business (May 15th to October 30th) has attracted fly fishermen from all over the world for the last century. During the last 9 years, the present owners have completely renovated the resort which now has 34 rooms, including several suites, 42 acres of surrounding land, stables and horse-keeping, an outdoor pool, a six-hole golf course and a comfortable, private owners' residence. Located in the small village of Margaree Forks, the Lodge is ideally situated at the junction of the high-volume Cabot Trail and the Ceilidh Trail (Route 19). |
| Golf: |
The formerly nine hole golf course was rebuilt in 2005 and reduced to a six hole golf course. It can be used in the 2006 season. The fairways are in a very good shape. Every green is equipped with automatic pop up sprinklers. The sprinkler system is setup with 1 1/4 and 1 1/5 inch plastic pipes (mostly underground). The watersupply works through 2 electrical waterpumps including timer.
Hole # 1 = distance 350' - 116.7 yards
Hole # 2 = distance 800' - 266.7 yards
Hole # 3 = distance 400' - 133.3 yards
Hole # 4 = distance 500' - 166.7 yards
Hole # 5 = distance 600' - 200 yards
Hole # 6 = distance 540' - 180 yards
There is one Jacobson greensmower and one Ransomes 6' rotor mower included.
